Job Details:
Our client is a leading provider of affiliate marketing software. It powers some of the industry’s most successful and high volume affiliate programs by providing a single centralised complete solution. They are looking for a Systems Developer to design software components and provide the functions identified by the requirements or architectural solutions.
Extensive technical knowledge of the software design processes is required, best practices as well as a commitment to design consistency for the product/solution. You will be part of a team of developers that converts the requirements into usable functionality and reflected in the system.
Key Responsibilities
· Take technical ownership of key Software components
· Implementing components that are unit tested and ready to be integrated into the product
· You should demonstrate a deep knowledge of leading-edge products/technologies and industries
· Conduct testing activities on all aspects of the product/system, including component, performance, system, regression, and service
· Enhance the users' product experience by meeting their business needs and goals while minimizing the potential for errors
· Produce software analysis, software design, coding, software testing and documentation in line with the project requirements
· Take technical ownership for all specifications and documentation relating to a given product/feature
· Mentoring and supporting more junior software developers
· Meet the tight deadlines
· Provide software development expertise to accomplish development projects that support business initiatives
· Develop robust, scalable, real-time, transactional software applications on multiple computing platforms
· Understand the technology platform to enable successful implementation of new functionality and defect correction with minimal supervision
· Generate level of estimates for implementing a particular task or change request
· Exercise discretion and independent judgment to accomplish assignments
· Closely interact with the Client Services team to understand scope and implement business requirements. identified in functional and design specifications
· Assist with technical integration and test activities
· Effectively use defect tracking and source control software
· Actively participate in Technical Services meetings
· Contribute to the department initiative including automation
· Keep in touch with the external environment - emerging technologies, technical innovations, changes in design practices and up to date tools
· Competitor awareness - be aware who the main competitors are and be aware of the products/features they offer
Position Requirements
· 3 years work experience in web development
· Diploma or University degree in Software Engineering or Computer science / or equivalent experience
· Proficient in GUI design best practices
· Familiar with object oriented programming (OOP)
· Strong knowledge of web application development in .NET Framework
· Web development experience: AJAX, JavaScript, HTML, JQuery, Web services
· Knowledge of SQL server
· Strong knowledge of SQL scripting
· Strong written and oral communications skills
· Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment is crucial
· Self motivated
· Team Player
