The Company:
Our client is a leading international IT company. Their successful operation in Malta is leading to a rapid expansion of this company, and they are now looking for a NOC Engineer.

The Role:
You will be responsible for the administration of  the Online Gaming platform by monitoring and reporting on a 24x7 basis to ensure that the performance is optimum. Additionally, you will also liaise with the relevant parties to provide second-level troubleshooting support

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- 24x7 proactive monitoring and support
- Investigate and take the necessary action in relation to any live issues that might arise
- Play an active role in the release of new software
- Act as an escalation point for issues flagged by other departments, namely Helpdesk
- Take an active role in new initiatives

Key Skills & Attributes:
- Sound knowledge of Linux technologies is essential
- Good knowledge of Web-N-Tier technologies (Apache, Jboss, Tomcat)
- Knowledge of Ruby and Java
- Knowledge of TCP/IP technologies (Cisco/Juniper gear)
- Database Administration Experience (MySQL, DB2, SQL) is an asset
- A natural teamplayer
- Passionate and willing to learn
